Born on March 11, 1918, in Salar, Murshidabad, towards the end of World War I, his life was marked by both challenges and triumphs, across three nations.

Well into his retirement, Abba continued his literary pursuits. writing regular columns on philosophy and literature for local newspapers until his death in June 1992, at the age of 74.
